Great color, mostly as described. The reason for the imperfect rating is the edges look unfinished with exposed seams and white stitching. Very difficult to keep clean (to be expected with pile length).i wanted to like this rug. i loved it initially. super-soft. looks great. very cozy. however, after less than 5 months the honeymoon is certainly over.the rug itself is soft, but has zero cushioning. i had to buy a rug pad to make it comfortable enough to sit on for any length of time. the cozy look is only skin deep: after very light traffic, the material gets matted down & looks ugly. most confusingly, the rug saps any moisture from your hand instantly. the phenomenon makes it feel both bone dry & but also weirdly damp. not a good feel at all.but by far the worst part is how difficult this rug is to keep clean. it's an endeavor all on its own to vacuum. very little air will pass through this rug, even with a rug pad. the vacuum ends up suctioned to the rug & clamping down. my strong vacuum only exacerbates the problem. it takes a large amount of effort to dislodge it, only for it to get stuck again a few inches later. even worse: the pile is so resistant from being matted & thick that the vacuum brush motor gives up completely before it overheats. i have to manually use the hose to clean the entire 40 square feet of rug in front of me.the amount of effort to clean would be tolerable if this rug wasn't also a crumb & grit magnet. it looks dirty after just a week. anything tracked into the house will accumulate in this rug's deep pile within seconds. since i chose a black rug, almost everything stands out as a sprinkling of filth. so the large amount of cleaning effort needs to be done weekly (at least) to keep the rug looking nice.this rug is by far more work than it's worth. i'm not likely to keep it for much longer.The color is red not burgundy. It's pretty , but definitely more red?This rug was pretty. It was full of shag, it had highlights of cream, white shag. However, I was going to put it on top of my carpeted apartment and it didn't look good. This is for a dark hardwood floor. It would pop. So it's a beautiful addition to a dining room or living room but not for my apartment so I sent it back. Yes, I had to buy a carpetbag from Uhaul and then wrap in cellophane to return. It was fine.I didn't look at the third picture closely and didn't notice the little fibers that stick out quite far from the other fibers in the rug. Mine also came dirty and a small black beetle caught in the fibers. Helpful husband already threw out the packing material so can't return. nice color and size though for the room I needed it for.The rug is ok for the price. I think the color is a little more drab in person. It’s not as vibrant or moss colored as the photoNice, thick carpet but I would suggest using a pad underneath it....there apparently is a woven support/foundation to this carpet so initially walking on it feels rather uncomfortable with bare feet; feels like you are walking on a rope hammock; in the 2 weeks since receiving this, this seems to be compressing so it is less uncomfortable but I have never experienced this before with any rugs I have purchased. Also, we initially received the wrong color (black trellis; looked right through several layers of plastic) so my advice would be to double check the labels before unwrapping!! Wrapping it up to return was a royal pain!We are enjoying this black rug. It is as described. Looks beautiful from a distance and close up. The only reason I didn't give it 5 starts was I considered the shag to be a bit thin. It would be a bit more thicker for me to give it five stars. Depending on how you are using it, you may want to get a pad for underneath. But otherwise for the price I would recommend buying it!This isn't even shaggy, there is nothing to move around with your hand, its actually quite low pile. Slides around on the floor. Very uncomfortable, you can feel small hard bumps Through the pile (knots from the tufting). UGLY. Looks nothing like the photos, very disappointed.Dark carpet shows dirt and small materials after a couple weeks. I would highly recommend doing a quick sweep of the area you wish to use the carpet and see what colour you pickup the most. These carpets don’t hide well anything caught up in them and will not be easy to clean.Purchased this as a soft and bright spot for the dark hardwood floor in my daughter's bedroom. The last time I bought another white fluffy rug that shed liberally and made for constant vacuuming. This one hasn't shed a fiber - easy care and looks great. Also like the fact that it is thick, not scraggly.I absolutely can not get this carpet clean! No matter how much I vacuum it. I’ve even taken it outside and shook it an swept it with a broom. Impossible to get the dirt out of.This is a beautiful plush carpet to accentuate my dark hardwood flooring; and the price was good. I strongly recommend buying. Love it!
